Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 September 2026
Urbancrease (operated by Urban Crease) helps amateur cricketers find games, players, opponents and grounds. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who can see it and how long we keep it. It is written for the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India).
What we collect
- Your account: your email address (to send sign-in codes), and the name and mobile number you choose to add.
- What you post: game, player, team and ground posts, with the contact name and WhatsApp number you enter, and any message you paste for us to read.
- Responses and requests: when you respond to a post or request a ground slot — your name, team, number and message.
- Ground owners: ground details, photos, slots, prices, contact number, and what you tell us to verify a claim.
- City waitlist: your number (and name, if given) when you ask to hear when your city opens.
- Payments: for paid promotions, the order, amount and status. Card, UPI and bank details go straight to our payment provider (Razorpay); we never see or store them.
- Small technical cookies: your sign-in session, the city you picked, and a random ID that counts daily visitors. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't store IP addresses.
“Use my location” works out your nearest area on your phone; your exact location is never sent to us.
Who sees what
- Posts are public, but a poster's phone number is shown only to signed-in people who respond to that post.
- Your email address is never shown to other users.
- Grounds marked “listed” come from public directories (like Google Maps). Their public phone number is shown only to signed-in visitors. Owners can claim a listing to manage it, or ask us to correct or remove it.
- We do not sell or rent personal data, and we don't share it for advertising.
Services that process data for us
- Supabase — database and sign-in
- Vercel — website hosting
- Hostinger — our email (sign-in codes and replies)
- Razorpay — payments, only if you buy a promotion
- Anthropic — may read the text of a WhatsApp message you paste, only to fill in the post form
They process data only to provide their service to us. Some of them may store data outside India.
How long we keep it
- Posts disappear from the site when their game is over and their page stops opening 7 days later.
- 30 days after a post ends we erase the organiser's name and number, the pasted WhatsApp text, and the names, numbers and messages of everyone who responded. Slot-request numbers are erased 30 days after the slot.
- Your account stays until you ask us to delete it. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or name someone to act for you. Write to letsplay@urbancrease.com from the email on your account; we reply within 7 days and act within 30. Some records (for example payments) may have to be kept by law. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Grievance officer: Urban Crease, letsplay@urbancrease.com, D43, Sushant Lok III, Sector 57, Gurgaon, Haryana 122003.
Age
You must be 18 or older to create an account. Younger players are welcome in games; a parent or guardian should post and respond for them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and say so on the site.
