STYLING THE BLACK TRENCH

Welcome back!

There are very few pieces that are as timeless and effortlessly stylish as the trench coat. Seriously, I doubt it will ever go out of fashion. It’s a great item to invest in for both autumn and spring, as it goes well with a wide variety of outfits. For this outfit, I decided to style a long black trench coat that can be tied around the waist. It’s great for giving structure to the outfit, as I wore a pink velvet top and a pair of black trousers underneath (dusty pink is usually my go-to shade when it comes to adding some color into the looks). It’s a perfect outfit for rainy/cloudy spring days.

If you’re planning on stylish trench coats this season, they can basically be dressed down or up depending on your needs. They can go just as well with a pair of ankle boots, denim and a casual button up shirt or t-shirt. You can also play it up with a variety of colors.

In case you’re planning to style one for a night out, you should opt for a black trench or a leather/patent one in a true red or even a navy blue shade. Not only will they attract lots of attention, they will create a very classy look, worn on the shoulders and paired with a fitted dress or jumpsuit.
